The Campus was founded in order to respond to the education and specialization needs of companies, institutions, schools, associations etc.
It is focused on nanotechnology, i.e. the science studying the matter at the atomic and molecular level ( it is about sizes of one billionth of meter) that gives the possibility of creating new products with particular characteristics, once considered unfeasible (e.g. anti-scratch, anti-rust, anti-dirt, anti-reflex, lightweight, flexible, non-stretchable, stainless) and of discovering everyday many applications in the medicine sector (implantology, disease treatment) in Diagnostics, in the environmental health (water and air purification, monitoring, energy efficiency), preservation of the cultural heritage, defence, aerospace, automotive etc.
